Our membership and member partners make St. Clair Association a strong and viable organization serving our communities for all of their real estate needs.
Our History
St. Clair Association of Realtors began in the early 1960s when Alabama Power built dams at Logan Martin and Neely Henry within our county.
Realtor Ed Ash opened a real estate office in Pell City in the early 1960s and other agents joined him. Over time, multiple agents left his office and began opening their own firms, agents like Ronnie Foster and Randall Shumate, just to name a couple.
First Real Estate, the largest real estate company in Birmingham, opened an office in Pell City. First later became Realty South. Other companies followed and dozens now serve this thriving market.
Although many of the beloved agents who provided a strong foundation on which to build have retired or passed away, their legacy is this association, which continues to serve property owners by adhering to real estate law and the Code of Ethics.
